Programme

December 11 (Sunday) 12 am

Visit to the Figueiredo House

Figueiredo House Loutolim

Visit to the 400 year old heritage home built in typical Indo-Portuguese style, belonging to the Figueiredo family in Loutolim.

The magnificent Figueiredo House in Loutolim is a fine example of Indo-Portuguese Goan architecture, the amalgamation of two cultures, and the high living of the Goan landed gentry of the period. Built in 17th century, the scale this house acquired in the 19th century is yet another attestation of the power and autonomy that Goan families, especially Brahmins, acquired over the centuries of Portuguese administration. The visit will be followed by lunch at the Nostalgia Restaurant, Raia (close to Loutolim) with authentic Goan cuisine (see below).

Open to members and friends of IGSG - Indo German Friendship Society Goa. Preregistration required. Please contact info@igsg.org or call 97 6336 5050
