The European Influence in Goa and the German Contribution to the
Indo-Portuguese Trade
in 16th-18th Century
On April 29, 2011, Mr.
Luís de Assis Correia presented a communication on
"The European Influence in Goa and the German Contribution to the
Indo-Portuguese Trade in 16th-18th Century"
at the premises of
Fundação Oriente. Mr. Correia spoke to a very interested public and
answered their questions during the discussion which followed.
Mr. Correia is the author of two relevant books on the History of Goa:
1. Goa through the Mists of History. 10000 BC – AD 1958. A Select
Compilation of Goa's Genesi; published 2006
2.
Portuguese India. Mumbai - Chaul - Vasai 1498 - 1739; published 2009
