On January 11 another German bakery class took place at the premises of Agnel Institute of Food Crafts and Culinary Sciences in Verna, South Goa. Monika Höcher, Gudula Eisemann and Margarete Xavier put their hands to work and introduced the participants to some aspects of the German art of baking breads and cakes. This year’s choice of items was: Buckwheat-millet bread, Apple Tiramisu, Sweet corn-coconut cake, Dense chocolate cake, German cheese-semolina cake.
A full class of ladies (plus two gentlemen) from Goa and other parts of India watched the three German ladies attentively, listening to their explanations and receiving answers to their many additional questions.
In the end there was much chatting in the Institute’s restaurant over a soup prepared by the Institute’s students and the pieces of cake and bread fresh from the oven.
A success!
